Here we are with a pair of candle sticks. Still havent drilled and taped it, later will do. Strange how the camera has made them look splayed out. |

And this gives an idea of what its going to look like. Of course the clamp on the bar looks completely wrong, so I shall make a new one there. And I have yet to make the clamp for the vertical adjustment. |

| 10th August. Well getting the end off to remove the existing slide proved fun. Not been off since it was fitted more or less a 100 years ago. Its a taper fit, and held with a screw, so once the screw has been removed there isnt much left to help. So a silver steel improvised punch that bottoms out on the hole, and a fair old bit of heat, some brass jaws to help protect it, and wallop.......... |
