Actually the motor is an inboard. Late 20s early 30s vintage and 148 cubic inches. It has a Bendix Eclipse aviation inirtia starter, Zenith carbs as well as Winfields, fork and blade rods gear driven overhead cams with unusual leaf springs.

Maybe one day but the chances are getting fewer as mosy all the old timers are now gone. I think it will probably remain a mystery. But if you have any hunches or knowledge please do get in touch, many thanks Rick.
